Energy Week in Riyadh to Bring Together Global Energy Leaders Across Policy, Markets, and Technology
Riyadh is set to become the epicenter of global energy dialogue this April as it hosts Energy Week in Riyadh, a coordinated series of high-level ministerial, institutional, and industry engagements designed to shape the future of global energy collaboration.
Taking place from April 26–30, 2026, Energy Week will bring together ministers, policymakers, business leaders, investors, and technical experts for an integrated platform that aligns major regional and international energy events. The initiative seeks to foster structured policy dialogue, cross-sector cooperation, and market insight at a pivotal time for the evolving global energy landscape.
25th WPC Energy Congress to Be Held for the First Time in the Kingdom
A key highlight of Energy Week is the 25th WPC Energy Congress, which will be hosted in Saudi Arabia for the first time in its 93-year history. Under the theme “Pathways to an Energy Future for All,” the Congress will convene more than 25,000 participants from over 100 countries to discuss secure, inclusive, and sustainable energy pathways. The event will take place at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center.
The Congress will gather heads of state, ministers, CEOs, energy experts, academics, and international media. Over five days, participants will explore topics including energy security, responsible production, the transition to low-carbon systems, and the continuing importance of oil and gas in economic development.
A Week of Strategic Energy Engagements
Energy Week in Riyadh will feature an extensive lineup of international and regional gatherings, including:
-
The IEF17 Ministerial Meeting of the International Energy Forum.
-
The GCC Energy Ministers Meeting.
-
The OAPEC High-Level Workshop on energy transformation in Arab oil and gas-producing nations.
-
The OAPEC Technical Seminar focused on reducing carbon emissions in downstream petroleum industries.
-
The presentation of the 2026 OPEC Annual Statistical Bulletin, a key global reference for oil and gas market trends.
Together, these forums will integrate policy dialogue, market data, and technical expertise within a single collaborative framework, reinforcing Riyadh’s position as a focal point for international energy discussion.
Comprehensive Programme and Global Participation
The 25th WPC Energy Congress will feature a comprehensive Executive Programme with Ministerial Dialogues on global energy governance, high-level plenaries, and strategic sessions addressing investment trends, market outlooks, and innovation pathways.
The Technical Programme will include five thematic blocks and 31 specialist forums, covering topics from primary energy supply and infrastructure transformation to advanced fuels, leadership, and emerging technologies improving efficiency, safety, and emissions performance.
Complementing these sessions, the Special Programme will introduce dynamic formats such as the Debate Series, Knowledge Sprint, and Energy Hackathon, encouraging cross-generational engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration. Dedicated tracks will also highlight Young Professionals, Women in Energy, the Circular Carbon Economy, Social Responsibility, and AI and Digitalisation — reinforcing both human and technological dimensions of the energy transition.
50,000 m² Exhibition Showcasing Global Innovation
A large-scale exhibition spanning 50,000 square metres will feature more than 300 companies presenting technologies and solutions across the energy value chain, including renewables, hydrogen infrastructure, digital systems, and low-carbon innovations.
With just over two months to go, international registrations are accelerating, signalling unprecedented global participation in what is set to be a defining week for energy dialogue, cooperation, and innovation.
