Moro Hub Presents Green Certificate to Dubai Courts for Sustainable Transformation

Dubai Courts Demonstrates Its Dedication to Environmental Responsibility While Ensuring Secure, Resilient, and Efficient IT Operations

Moro Hub, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA, the digital arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (PJSC), has presented a Green Certificate to Dubai Courts in recognition of its commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. The award acknowledges Dubai Courts’ decision to host its IT workloads at Moro Hub’s Green Data Centre, the world’s largest solar-powered data centre certified by Guinness World Records.

The certificate was officially handed over to His Excellency Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director General of Dubai Courts, by Eng. Marwan Bin Haidar, Vice Chairman – Digital and Group CEO of Digital DEWA, during the 45th edition of GITEX Global, held from October 13 to 17 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The recognition highlights Dubai Courts’ ongoing efforts to advance sustainable digital transformation while ensuring the security, resilience, and efficiency of its IT operations. By migrating its workloads to the solar-powered Green Data Centre, Dubai Courts reinforces its role as a pioneer in adopting energy-efficient digital solutions that align with the UAE’s broader sustainability vision.

“We are pleased to receive this certificate from Moro Hub, which confirms our shared commitment to innovation and sustainability. By adopting energy-efficient digital solutions, we ensure that our journey towards digital transformation is both technologically advanced and environmentally responsible,” said H.E. Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director General of Dubai Courts. “This initiative also reinforces our strategic pillars: leading judicial performance, integrated judicial services, future-ready institutional capabilities, and an advanced digital judicial ecosystem.”

Eng. Marwan Bin Haidar, Vice Chairman – Digital and Group CEO of Digital DEWA, stated: “We are pleased to recognise Dubai Courts with the Green Certificate, underscoring their strong commitment to sustainability and innovation. By hosting their IT workloads at our Green Data Centre, Dubai Courts is enhancing operational efficiency while contributing to the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 strategy. This step reflects the synergy between government entities in achieving the national vision of a sustainable digital future.”

The collaboration between Moro Hub and Dubai Courts reflects a strategic alignment with national sustainability and digital transformation goals. It supports Dubai Courts’ ongoing efforts to modernize its digital infrastructure, enhance cybersecurity, and strengthen information security across the judicial system.

Beyond green hosting, the partnership extends to initiatives that drive innovation in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices, further supporting Dubai’s vision of building a smart, secure, and sustainable government ecosystem.
