The Monaco Yacht Show is expanding beyond its home in Monaco with the launch of the Red Sea Yacht Show, a new international yachting event scheduled to debut in Jeddah from October 14 to 17, 2027.
The inaugural show will take place at Jeddah Yacht Club & Marina, bringing together superyacht owners, builders, brokers, designers and luxury brands as Saudi Arabia develops its Red Sea marine tourism sector.
The event will draw on the Monaco Yacht Show's more than three decades of experience while developing its own identity around the Red Sea destination.
Tahaluf and Sela Sign Agreement
Tahaluf and Sela have signed an agreement to develop and deliver the inaugural Red Sea Yacht Show in Jeddah.
The agreement was signed during the Monaco Yacht Show in the presence of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, following the official launch celebration of the Red Sea Yacht Show in Monaco on September 23.
Mike Champion, CEO of Tahaluf, said bringing the Monaco Yacht Show's international experience to Saudi Arabia reflected the opportunities emerging in the Red Sea yachting market.
He said the organisers would combine international yachting expertise with Saudi creativity and hospitality to create an event suited to the destination and its visitors.
Superyachts and Luxury Lifestyle to Feature
The Red Sea Yacht Show will showcase a selection of superyachts, tenders and dayboats, alongside experiences and brands associated with luxury yacht ownership.
The programme will extend beyond the marina to include fine jewellery, collectible art, luxury automobiles, design and cuisine from Michelin-starred chefs.
Yacht viewings and industry meetings will be complemented by private receptions, dining experiences and activities designed to introduce visitors to the destination.
Jeddah to Host International Yachting Community
Eng. Amer Hussain Daggag, Destinations General Manager at Sela, said Jeddah Yacht Club & Marina would provide a setting for the new event while giving international visitors an opportunity to experience the Red Sea destination.
He said the partnership with Tahaluf and the Monaco Yacht Show would help bring the global yachting community to Jeddah and showcase the region's marine tourism offering.
The event is expected to bring together industry professionals and luxury travellers while supporting connections between international yachting businesses and Saudi Arabia's growing marine tourism sector.
October Timing Targets Winter Yachting Season
The October dates place the Red Sea Yacht Show toward the end of the Mediterranean yachting season, when attention traditionally turns toward winter cruising destinations.
The Red Sea offers an alternative setting for the next stage of the yachting calendar, with Jeddah serving as a gateway to destinations along Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast.
The inaugural event will therefore combine the Monaco Yacht Show's established industry network with a destination that is seeking to expand its presence in international luxury and marine tourism.
