A specially created documentary film on the Sultanate of Oman, entitled 12 days in Oman, has recently been picked for the National Geographics Short Film Showcase. The documentary was created by German traveler and filmmaker Marko Roth who aimed to capture the rich cultural landscape and wealth of natural resources he had encountered during his visit to the country. 12 days in Oman, is also featured in National Geographics website.

The short film follows the adventure of Marko and his friends as they travel to breathtaking spots around the Sultanate, gathering footage of lush mountains, idyllic beaches, stunning desert views and lively cities. National Geographics short film showcase is a collection of awe-inspiring creations from talented filmmakers highlighting the most exotic and sought after destinations around the world, all of which was selected following the distinguished organizations strict standards for content and aesthetics.

Salim Adi Al Mamari, Director General of Tourism Promotion in the Ministry of Tourism, said: We are very happy that this short film has been included in this years National Geographic showcase. We would like to commend Marko Roth for throwing the spotlight on the countrys innate beauty through such a distinguished and widely respected global platform. This film will greatly boost the Sultanates travel sector as it introduces the world to immense tourism potential of Oman.
