Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), the worlds first graduate-level, research-based artificial intelligence (AI) university, has been awarded licensing and accreditation from the UAEs Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA). This certifies that MBZUAI will offer the best quality educational programs to students, which will be acknowledged within the UAE as well as globally.

commenting on the announcement, His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of State and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at MBZUAI, stated: Receiving official accreditation from the CAA is an affirmation of our dedication to the Leaderships vision of delivering excellence and improving AI skills through education. We pursue to offer students with world-class courses in an environment that exceeds expectations in order to attract the best talent from throughout the globe.

The Commission for Academic Accreditation functions as part of the UAEs Ministry of Education to carry out a program of licensure of institutions of higher education, and accreditation of each of their educational programs. In accordance to the CAA, it is of the foremost significance that institutions in the UAE provide the highest quality academic programs, which are acknowledged both within the country and globally for their excellence.

Professor Sir Michael Brady, Interim President of MBZUAI, mentioned: This is a major accomplishment prior to the University receiving the first intake of students later this year. We have ensured that each MBZUAI program concentrates on not only the most pertinent elements of AI nowadays, but that they will be delivered to the highest possible standards, making sure quality education for all who attend the University.

MBZUAI will offer Master of Science (MSc) and PhD level programs while also engaging policymakers and businesses across the globe so that AI is harnessed as a force for positive transformation. The University has already started off the process of vetting the applications for the 2020 intake, with over 1,200 applications received and in the last stage of evaluation.

Graduate students can apply to MBZUAI through the Universitys website for 2020 registration. The first class of graduate students will start coursework at MBZUAIs Masdar City campus in August 2020.

The University will offer all admitted students with a full scholarship, plus advantages such as a monthly allowance, health insurance, and accommodation. MBZUAI will work with leading local and global companies to secure internships, and will also help students in discovering employment opportunities.
