Last Chance to Join Olympic Legend Sir Mo Farah at This Weekend’s Run Yas 2026 at Yas Marina Circuit

Registrations still open for inaugural community event celebrating fitness, family, and fun in partnership with Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre and Ethara

The countdown is on for Run Yas 2026, and it’s your last chance to register for an unforgettable experience alongside four-time Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah this Sunday, 11 January, at Yas Marina Circuit.

Organized by Ethara in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), the event invites residents and visitors of all ages to embrace the spirit of the UAE’s Year of Family, with races designed for both beginners and experienced runners.

Run Yas Categories and Highlights

Participants can choose from a variety of distances and formats, including:

  • Yas Lap (5.3 km) – run alongside Sir Mo Farah on the iconic F1 circuit

  • Yas 10K – for seasoned runners, featuring AED 10,000 in prize money for the winner

  • Year of Family Relay – teams of three from families or corporates

  • Yas Kids Run (1K and 2K) – fun, safe events for children

The Yas 10K top finishers will receive:
1st Place: AED 10,000
2nd Place: AED 5,000
3rd Place: AED 2,500
4th & 5th Place: AED 1,000 each

The event reinforces the UAE’s growing emphasis on wellness, physical activity, and family bonding.

“Run Yas reflects our ongoing commitment to embedding physical activity into everyday life across the community,” said Dr. Rashed Al Suwaidi, Director General of ADPHC. “This initiative aligns with the Year of the Family, reinforcing social connection through inclusive, community-driven health initiatives.”

Legends and Inspiration on Track

Alongside Sir Mo Farah, Emirati sprinter Maryam Al Farsi—who represented the UAE at the Paris 2024 Olympics—will join the event, inspiring participants at every level.

“I’m really excited to be coming to Abu Dhabi for Run Yas,” said Sir Mo Farah. “It’s amazing to have this event at the Formula One circuit. With it being a New Year, it’s a good way to start getting active and having fun together as a community.”
