Dubai Club for People of Determination (DCD) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with ORA Developers to support the Fazza International Para Athletics Championships and the Club’s broader programme of activities and events.

The agreement underscores a shared commitment to advancing community collaboration, fostering inclusive initiatives, and empowering People of Determination through sport and social engagement.

The signing ceremony was attended by Thani Juma Berregad, Chairman of the Executive Board of DCD; Majid Al Usaimi, Executive Director of DCD; Eng. Naguib Sawiris, Chairman and CEO of ORA Developers; and Lana Sawiris, Chief Commercial Officer of ORA Developers.

Strengthening inclusion through sport

Eng. Naguib Sawiris stated that the partnership reflects alignment with the UAE’s vision for social inclusion and human empowerment. He noted that ORA Developers’ approach to building sustainable communities extends beyond physical infrastructure to creating inclusive environments that encourage aspiration, creativity, and participation.

He added that supporting the Fazza International Para Athletics Championships contributes to enhancing quality of life and reinforces Dubai’s global standing as a leading hub for sports for People of Determination.

Thani Juma Berregad emphasized that the UAE’s leadership has consistently prioritised empowering People of Determination by fostering an enabling environment for the development of their talents across sectors. He noted that DCD continues to advance this national vision through structured strategies and institutional partnerships.

He said the agreement highlights ORA Developers’ commitment to strengthening community participation, improving services, and enabling meaningful societal integration for People of Determination.

Expanding strategic collaboration

Majid Al Usaimi explained that both parties will implement community programmes and initiatives under a clear and structured framework. He reaffirmed DCD’s role as a leading institution dedicated to empowering People of Determination to actively contribute to societal development.

The partnership forms part of DCD’s broader strategy to build long-term collaborations with public and private sector entities, particularly as it continues to organise successive editions of the Fazza International Championships. The event has helped position Dubai prominently on the global stage of para athletics.
