Kyndryl and Auj Partner to Accelerate Digital Transformation in Saudi Arabia’s Aviation Industry

Kyndryl (NYSE: KD), a global leader in mission-critical enterprise technology services, and Auj, a prominent aviation strategy and operations advisory firm, have announced a strategic collaboration to drive digital transformation across Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving aviation sector. The announcement was made at the World Aviation Festival in Lisbon, Portugal.

Saudi Arabia’s aviation industry is experiencing unprecedented growth in line with Vision 2030, which aims to position the Kingdom as a global aviation hub. According to the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), the sector contributed approximately $53 billion (SAR 198.8 billion) to the national economy in 2023 and is on track to handle 330 million passengers annually by 2030 under the Saudi Aviation Strategy.

Under the new collaboration, Kyndryl and Auj will jointly support aviation customers—including airlines, airports, and regulators—in adopting advanced technologies and data-driven operating models that enhance efficiency, resilience, and innovation. The partnership will combine Kyndryl’s expertise in IT consulting, cloud, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and managed services with Auj’s in-depth industry knowledge in airport strategy, operations, and regulatory frameworks.

Pieter Bil, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Kyndryl Middle East and Africa, said:

“Kyndryl brings its global expertise in digital modernization for some of the world’s leading airports and airlines to the aviation sector in Saudi Arabia. Together with Auj, we aim to help stakeholders deliver personalized, seamless, and future-ready experiences that align with the Kingdom’s ambitious growth and sustainability goals.”

Mohammed Al Moaither, Chief Operating Officer of Auj, added:

“At Auj, our mission is to reimagine the future of aviation in Saudi Arabia by combining global best practices with deep local expertise. This collaboration with Kyndryl enables us to accelerate the Kingdom’s digital transformation journey—enhancing operations, improving passenger experiences, and supporting Vision 2030’s goal of building a connected, sustainable aviation ecosystem.”

Globally, Kyndryl has partnered with major aviation entities including Singapore Airlines, Japan Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Etihad Airways, and Bangalore International Airport, modernizing mission-critical systems and delivering resilient, secure, and scalable IT environments.

The partnership between Kyndryl and Auj represents a pivotal step in advancing Saudi Arabia’s aviation infrastructure, empowering the Kingdom to achieve operational excellence, technological innovation, and global competitiveness in the years ahead.
