Abu Dhabi-based place-maker, IMKAN, has awarded SOGEA MAROC a three year, 300-million-dirham contract to construct the first phase of Le Carrousel; a mixed-use project positioned on the Moroccan capital, Rabats, lovely waterfront.

A high-end location on the coast of the capital city; the subsidiary of French group Vinci, SOGEA MAROC, has been entrusted to construct the residential areas, seafront promenade, and over forty retail outlets throughout Le Carrousel.

SOGEA MAROC has been active in Morocco since 1930 and is a national leader in the development industry. Recognized for excellent construction and well timed delivery, SOGEA MAROC is also known for its global standard method to quality, security, and the environment. The Morocco-based contractor is ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 certified, and was awarded the CSR Label from CGEM (General Confederation of Moroccan Companies)

This is the first contract to be awarded for the flagship Le Carrousel community in Rabat. Following this initial agreement, IMKAN is examining and finalizing partnerships for building of the shopping mall and hotel, which will be launched in the coming days.

Le Carrousel aspects sophisticated residences inside an exclusive private community, which includes a seafront promenade, boutique hotel and the first open-air shopping mall in Morocco. The project will cover an location of over 10 hectares, with only 50% density and more than 30% reserved for green spaces. Le Carrousel provides an excellent place in the heart of an 11-kilometer coastal zone, only 15 minutes from downtown Rabat and the motorway.
