Huawei launches 5G data network as next gen carrier data storage solutions in GITEX

At the end of GITEX Technology Week, Huawei, the leading global provider of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), announced the launch of the 5G Data Network, a new data storage solution that transforms 5G, improving the efficiency of data usage, making business more agile.

Data exchange is a basic service to the communications industry. With the depth of digital transformation, massive data is entering the business systems of the carrier's production domain, which supports Carries' billing, CRM, NFV, VAS and other services. Then the data flows from the production system to the analytics domain, and the useful information in the massive data is extracted through BI, big data analysis, and so on. And then the Information is used to improve the various business systems of the manufacturing domain or to provide external data services. Carriers have been exploring digital roads for more than 20 years, and digitalization rates are significantly higher than other businesses. However, carriers production and analytical systems have historically been stored in pits that cannot be isolated and shared.

Huawei's new 5G Data Network solution addresses today's need to transmit vast amounts of data to various systems in the carrier's production domain. 5G Data Network is an intelligent integrated data storage solution that provides efficient access, integrated analysis and easy consumption. It improves storage usage by 30 percent, and accelerates data service output to just 5 minutes compared to the previous 6 hours. Customers can use the 5G Data Network solution to integrate storage and analytics platforms into the live network, abandon silo construction mode, improve data storage and analytics performance, and reduce the TCO of the entire network.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Cody Wang, General Manager of Carrier IT Product Line, Huawei Middle East, said: As networks evolve into 5G and digitalization across the community continues to evolve, the communications industry needs to update their data storage. Silos do not work in the 5G era. The 5G Data Network is designed to create data storage and provide greater flexibility to carriers, using the state of Hawaii's modern Intelligent Storage Management platform.
