Dubai, 30 December 2018: Innumerable smartphone developers across the Middle East & North Africa came together taking part in the HUAWEI Developer Day workshop series held in partnership with ZAIN Innovation Campus (ZINC), in Amman on December 18.

Launched in 2014, ZINC utilizes the latest technologies to reinforce the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Jordan and the MENA region by fostering businesses and startups. The campus primarily functions to aid young entrepreneurs to shape their ideas into actual projects ready to go into the local, regional and global markets.

The workshop proved successful with over 100 people attending it. The attendees included Android application and games developers, representatives from ZINC, and the Jordan Gaming Lab a project of King Abdullah II Fund for Development KAFD which has been designed to meet the requirements of developers and gaming companies. KAFD has been encouraging young entrepreneurs incubating enterprising Jordanians who wish to create their own gaming ideas.

Through HUAWEI Developer Day and HUAWEI AppGallery, we are targeting developers to help them increase their user base, network, and engagement by supporting them to expand new markets and monetize their applications.

This is the first time that the HUAWEI Developer Day series has been hosted in the Middle East. It brought together over 100 developers and design startups in Dubai. The series provides developers with information and guidance into HUAWEI AppGallery and HUAWEI Themes through interactive presentations and competitions.

HUAWEI Developer Day looks forward to continuing its series of workshops to nurture and prosper young entrepreneurs across MENA, with the next workshop soon approaching in Egypt in February 2019 followed by the same in Pakistan, Lebanon, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and Abu Dhabi running until December 2019.
