His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Endorses AED 4.7 Billion Mohammed bin Rashid Endowment District in Dubai

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has endorsed the Mohammed bin Rashid Endowment District, a landmark AED 4.7 billion humanitarian and urban development project in Dubai Academic City.

The endorsement took place during a high-level event in Dubai, where Mr. Mirwais Azizi, Founder and Chairman of Azizi Group, presented the project model outlining its design and integrated components across healthcare, education, residential, and cultural sectors.

The 2-million-square-foot master development embodies the UAE’s enduring values of generosity, innovation, and sustainable philanthropy. Speaking at the event, Mr. Azizi said:

“Back in February this year, shortly after I lost my daughter Farishta Azizi to cancer, I announced my intention to build a complex in Dubai that would include a specialized cancer hospital, a medical college, and other vital facilities. I am proud that this vision has transformed from an idea to a complete design ready for construction. We are honored to contribute to this pioneering endowment project bearing the name of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.”

He added:

“The Mohammed bin Rashid Endowment District reflects the UAE’s humanitarian mission and spirit of generosity. Its investment returns will ensure sustainable support for healthcare and education worldwide, addressing humanity’s most essential needs.”

A key highlight within the district is the Farishta Azizi masterplan, officially approved by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed. The development includes the Farishta Azizi Hospital, a state-of-the-art medical center designed to treat over 90,000 patients annually, supported by the Farishta Azizi Medical School to advance healthcare research and education.

The district will also house the Farishta Azizi British and American Schools, catering to 5,000 students, and a non-profit residential community of nearly 2,000 housing units, whose rental revenues will directly fund the hospital and schools’ operations.

Additionally, the project will feature a mosque accommodating over 1,700 worshippers, along with retail promenades and landscaped boulevards designed to foster wellbeing, learning, and community connection.

Reinforcing Dubai’s global reputation as a hub for philanthropy and sustainable development, the Mohammed bin Rashid Endowment District represents an integrated model where real estate investment supports enduring humanitarian goals. The initiative also aligns with the UAE’s broader vision for innovation-driven urbanism that enhances quality of life while serving a greater social purpose.

Azizi Group’s contribution to this landmark project continues its longstanding commitment to social responsibility and national development, supporting charitable causes within the UAE and beyond.
