Dubai, 14 March 2019: Technology will go hand in hand with sustainability, efficiency and innovation at the expo site as Expo 2020 Dubai together with Siemens have begun one of the largest installations of smart building technologies in the world. The 130 structures connected to digital solutions will boost energy efficiency, comfort, safety and security.

In its efforts to concrete the dreams of becoming a pioneering smart city, Siemens, the Digitalization Partner of Expo 2020s Infrastructure, will digitally connect, monitor and manage essential functions of 137 buildings across the 4.38 sqkm site via its cloud-based energy analytics platform, Siemens Navigator.

Interestingly, the Siemens Navigator will also monitor the efficient energy usage across the entire site. The smart technologies are to be installed across each of Expos Thematic Districts Opportunity, Mobility, Sustainability at the Thematic Pavilions, most country pavilions as well as the Dubai Exhibition Centre.

The largest ever installation of Siemens video management system, Siveillance VMS300, and the powerful access control system SiPass Integrated, also will be incorporated into Expos digital infrastructure to ensure safety and security. Supported by more than 20 sub-systems, the smart technology will allow holistic situational awareness and rapid smart decision making.
