Hala Badri welcomes adoption of Dubai Government’s 2026–2028 general budget

Hala Badri, Director General of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, affirmed that the adoption of Dubai’s general budget cycle for 2026–2028 — with total expenditures amounting to AED 302.7 billion, the largest in the emirate’s history — reflects Dubai’s ambitions to rank among the world’s top three economic cities by 2033.

She stated that the approval of the budget by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, underscores a forward-looking vision that strengthens Dubai’s position as a global hub for creativity and opportunity. Badri noted that the newly approved budget will support Dubai’s ongoing development, enhance financial sustainability, and accelerate the shift towards a knowledge-driven digital economy powered by innovation.

She added that the budget demonstrates the government’s commitment to human well-being and its continued investment in key sectors such as health, education, culture and infrastructure. By improving quality of life, the budget will also contribute to advancing Dubai’s global competitiveness and reinforcing its status as a preferred international destination for living, working and leisure.
