GEMS Students set new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS

Celebrating the 46th UAE National Day, over 4,130 students from GEMS Education schools in the UAE gathered to develop the Worlds Largest Human Waving Flag and established another Guinness World Records title.

The students, from GEMS Cambridge International School - Abu Dhabi, and GEMS United Indian School, were all dressed in the National flag shades, creating an image of the country's flag waving.

The record was validated by Guinness World Records authorities at the Cambridge International School, Abu Dhabi's sports ground.

Dino Varkey, Ceo, GEMS Education, said: "Today, after 46 years, the UAE is among the most advanced and sought-after nations across the globe. By creating the Worlds Largest Human Waving Flag, we intended to pay a homage to the UAE and the success of our visionary leaders.

Celebrating this occasion is a honored tradition we will proceed at GEMS Education and I would like to say thanks to all the trainees, instructors and parents that have sustained the occasion with such fantastic enthusiasm," included Dino.

This is the fourth world record tried by pupils of GEMS Education and the 3rd document that they developed. Formerly in 2016, GEMS trainees paid tribute to the UAE for National Day by creating Worlds Largest Transforming Human Image. In 2015, students created a document for the world's largest human sentence and in 2014, students of 119 nationalities from GEMS Education accomplished the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title after they sang the UAE nationwide anthem at once.
