Madinat Jumeirah, the Arabian Resort of Dubai, teamed up yesterday with Huda Beauty and The Dollhouse to organise the Feel Beautiful event at Dubais Mediclinic City Hospital. The event aimed to raise breast cancer awareness and provide special entertainment to patients and their loved ones.

Beauty treatments including henna, nail art, makeup applications and around 300 goodie bags filled with Huda Beautys signature line of lashes and nails were provided to cancer patients and survivors, courtesy of Huda Beauty and The Dollhouse the glamour girls salon of choice. Mediclinic City Hospitals Breast Care Coordinator was also available throughout the day to assist with questions and advice.

Dr. Alexandra Economacos, Consultant Breast Radiologist at Mediclinic City Hospital, mentioned: Being breast aware and caring for our breasts allows us to take the lead role in our life. We cant predict if or when breast cancer will affect us but we can try to get it detected early when it is small and easier to treat. By knowing our breasts and attending regular clinical and screening reviews, we narrow the chance to slip through the cracks and suffer from this disease. Breast cancer can be beaten. It does not have to beat us!

Madinat Jumeirah provided entertainment courtesy of Sinbads Kids Club, hosted a yoga session led by the resorts yoga instructor and provided light refreshments including pink desserts. The event also featured a cupcake decorating session conducted by Chef Jade Saducas, Cake Artist and Chef de Cuisine at Madinat Jumeirah.
