ENOC Retail and Tasjeel win Dubai Quality Award for continued commitment to quality

Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), announced today that ENOC Retail, the retail business of ENOC, has won the prestigious Dubai Quality Award, for its continued commitment to quality and business excellence, while ENOC Tasjeel, the UAEs one-stop-shop for all vehicle testing and registration needs, has won the Dubai Quality Appreciation Award.

ENOC Retail has achieved several certifications in 2014 recording a milestone year that underlined its commitment to international best practices. The achievement also helped power business growth during the past year, supported by the implementation of a series of policies, procedures and systems to strengthen operational efficiency.

Burhan Al Hashemi, Managing Director of ENOC Retail, said: Winning the Dubai Quality Award is a strong reiteration of ENOCs focus on ensuring that the products and services provided to our customers are of the highest quality, by adopting world-class processes. The award is part of the journey of excellence that ENOC is committed to, and we will continue to follow industry best practices across all aspects of our operations.

The recipients of the Dubai Quality Award are perceived as excellent in the industry, and by winning the honour, ENOC has clearly demonstrated its industry leadership and commitment to continual improvement to enhance organisational excellence, Al Hashemi added.

Currently, Tasjeel owns and operates 10 sites and two mobile units in Dubai and Sharjah, which use state-of-the-art equipment. Its outlets undertake VIP services for clients, mobile vehicle inspection, chassis checking measurements, pre-auction tests, fleet service, and car valuation.

As the UAEs one-stop-shop for all vehicle testing and registration needs, upholding the highest quality standards is a priority for Tasjeel. This is also crucial in strengthening overall safety. The Quality Appreciation Award highlights our continued focus at Tasjeel to reinforce quality best practices. Al Hashemi commented.

Based on the Excellence Model of EFQM, the Dubai Quality Award was conferred on ENOC Retail and Tasjeel following stringent assessment of the companys business processes and performance results. The objective of the award is to encourage organisational excellence for continual improvement as an on-going feature.

ENOC Retail has over the years adopted the DQA Excellence Model to develop innovative products and services, and has accomplished several business excellence initiatives and international best practices. Focused on the highest standards of quality and safety, ENOC is also at the forefront in promoting sustainable development, having introduced several path-breaking Green initiatives.

ENOC Retails convenience stores, ZOOM has achieved certifications to the Integrated Management System comprising of ISO 9001 for Quality Management, ISO 14001 for Environment Management and OHSAS 18001 for Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.

Additionally, ENOC Retail has been awarded the ISO 31000 standard for Risk Management, ISO 10002 standard for Customer Satisfaction & Complaints Management, ISO 50001 for Energy Management and has continuously extended the scope of its ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 & HACCP certifications for quality, environment, occupational health & safety, food safety systems.
