Emerson acquires Circor International's Spence and Nicholson Steam Technology Product Lines

Emerson (NYSE: EMR), a global technical and engineering firm, today announced its acquisition of Circor International (NYSE: CIR) Spence and Nicholson Product Lines. The procurement complements the wide portfolio of Emerson steam system solutions for process industries and commercial buildings.

Spence and Nicholson lines are established leading industry products, including steam regulators, control valves, safety relief valves, temperature regulators, steam traps as well as other steam accessories and solutions.

The continued value of bolt-on procurements, which fill our portfolio strategic gaps and diversify our products on growth market, is demonstrated by this addition to our final control business, "said Lal Karsanbhai, Chief Executive President of Automation Solutions business, Emerson.We will strengthen our position to help customers optimize their operations and enhance energy efficiency with Circor's premium steam technologies and profitable product lines."
