E-government launches Abu Dhabi services platform at Gitex 2015

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai visited the Abu Dhabi Government pavilion at GITEX today where he witnessed the latest ICT innovations that are being developed in the capital. His Highness also experienced the Abu Dhabi Services app which was launched today. In an effort to strengthen the UAEs capitals integration of public services through world-class customer engagement, the Abu Dhabi e-Government launched the Abu Dhabi Services platform; a state of the art smart device gateway app comprising of more than 1,100 governmental services covering key smart service sections.

Abu Dhabi Services was launched by His Excellency, Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Member of the Executive Council and Chairman of Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD) during an interactive live demonstration by the Abu Dhabi System and information Centre (ADSIC) Director General; His Excellency Rashid Lahej Al Mansoori . The live demo was followed by a press conference for visiting members of the media held by ADSICs DG, on the sidelines of GITEX Technology Week 2015, where 24 Government entities from the UAEs capital are currently showcasing the latest ICT innovations and smart solutions to visitors from around the world.

Commenting on the launch to members of the media following a live demonstration of the new gateway, ADSICs Director General; His Excellency Rashid Lahej Al Mansoori said, The Abu Dhabi e-Government continually aims to provide innovative and world-class services that benefit its end-users through digital transformation by providing convenient, safe and easily-accessible smart solutions, and the launch of Abu Dhabi Services is an integral step towards achieving this objective, as it will serve as a fully rounded gateway through mobile phones and tablets. It also notably supports our efforts to boost integration across various departments and fields of the Governments operations by providing a single access-point for all Government-related processes and procedures, which in turn, will cut back on time and effort, while maximizing productivity for businesses and peoples daily lives.

The DG went on to say that government integration through the close collaboration, spirit of innovation and steadfast partnership between Government entities is a key contributor to achieving Abu Dhabis Vision 2030, and that all parties will continue to seek new and improved ways of engaging their audiences and constituents, while positioning the UAEs capital as a vibrant, modern and pioneering destination to conduct business and develop the ICT sector.
Classified based on the services themes and related sectors, key features of the Abu Dhabi Services gateway include special designs and standards based on customers needs on the individual and business-level to facilitate and enhance their satisfaction, strong technical and logistic support by the Government entities involved, in addition to quick and user-friendly comprehensive topic information..

Available on the Google Play Store and Apple Store for smart phones and tablets, key sectors covered by Abu Dhabi Services include healthcare, education, immigration, residency, family affairs, housing and property, culture and entertainment, tourism, transportation, traffic matters, environment, legal affairs, employment and public safety, among others.
