Dubai will welcome global media, broadcast, satellite and space technology leaders from Monday as CABSAT 2026 and SATExpo 2026 open at Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai.

The three-day events, running from October 5 to 7, will bring together industry leaders, technology providers, investors and government representatives to explore developments across media, content production, professional AV, satellite communications, space technology and advanced connectivity.

The 33rd edition of CABSAT is expected to attract more than 18,800 visitors, 450 exhibiting companies and 700 brands from over 120 countries, with more than 150 speakers and 50 hours of industry content.

The BroadcastPro Manufacturer Awards 2026 will recognise technologies and solutions contributing to developments in broadcasting and media production.

CABSAT's expanded Pro AV focus comes as the global professional AV industry continues to grow. According to AVIXA forecasts, industry revenues are expected to rise from around $332 billion in 2025 to $402 billion by 2030.

SATExpo focuses on satellite and space economy

Held in strategic partnership with the UAE Space Agency under the theme “Connecting the future”, SATExpo 2026 will bring together companies and organisations spanning satellite manufacturing, launch services, ground systems, connectivity and space-data applications.

The second edition will feature more than 150 exhibitors and 80 expert speakers, with participating companies including Eutelsat, INTEGRASYS, ST Engineering iDirect, APSTAR, RSCC, Hughes and Space Communication Technologies.

The two-day SATExpo Summit will begin on October 6 under the theme “Connectivity, Intelligence and the New Space Economy.”

Summit to examine AI, 5G, satellite connectivity

The first day of the summit will focus on Connectivity & Intelligent Infrastructure, covering topics including satellite and 5G/6G convergence, direct-to-device connectivity, artificial intelligence in orbit, cloud ground stations and multi-orbit strategies.

The second day, themed Security, Sovereignty & the Business of Space, will examine cyber resilience, defence communications, space investment and the commercial opportunities associated with deep-space activities.

The event will also feature a Satellite Innovation Showcase covering payloads, antennas, terminals and ground systems.

A matchmaking programme will connect satellite operators, technology providers, investors and government stakeholders, while the Startup Zone and Space-Tech Demonstrations will highlight emerging solutions in satellite technology, Earth observation, AI-powered analytics and space-generated data.

INTEGRASYS to showcase satellite communications technology

Álvaro Sánchez, CEO of INTEGRASYS Group, said SATExpo would provide an opportunity to demonstrate technologies focused on satellite communications, spectrum monitoring and interference detection and mitigation.

“As satellite networks grow more complex and spectrum environments increasingly congested, safeguarding the resilience, security and performance of critical communications is essential,” Sánchez said.

He added that the company would use the event to engage with the regional satellite and space community and explore opportunities to support secure, high-performance satellite networks.

Dubai strengthens role as technology hub

CABSAT and SATExpo will provide complementary platforms for two closely connected technology ecosystems.

While CABSAT will focus on media technology, content creation, broadcasting and Pro AV, SATExpo will bring together the satellite, space and advanced-connectivity sectors, with discussions centred on emerging technologies, communications resilience and space-enabled services.
