Dubai South Business Hub Free Zone (DSBH) has partnered with DHL Express UAE to strengthen support for entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) seeking to expand into international markets.
The collaboration combines DHL Express’s logistics expertise with business capability development to help companies operating within DSBH improve export readiness, simplify cross-border trade and build the capabilities required to compete globally.
DHL GoTrade program to support export readiness
A key part of the collaboration is the DHL GoTrade program, a global initiative focused on helping SMEs develop practical knowledge and capabilities for international trade.
Through the program, DSBH members will have access to the “Trade and Grow Beyond Borders” curriculum, delivered by certified DHL facilitators.
The training will cover areas including international trade procedures, customs requirements, shipping documentation, logistics planning and export best practices. The program is designed to help entrepreneurs better understand the practical requirements involved in entering and operating in international markets.
In addition to training, DSBH members will receive access to preferential DHL Express shipping rates, giving businesses more competitive international logistics options as they expand into new markets.
Saif Al-Ali, Director of Licensing and Free Zone Management at DSBH, said the partnership reflects the free zone’s focus on supporting businesses beyond company formation.
He noted that logistics and global connectivity are important to the UAE economy and that combining DHL’s expertise with the GoTrade program will give entrepreneurs practical tools to enter new markets.
DHL highlights role of SMEs in international trade
Mahmoud Haj Hussein, Managing Director of DHL Express UAE, said SMEs play an important role in the UAE economy by contributing to innovation, employment and international trade.
He said the GoTrade program is intended to help entrepreneurs develop the knowledge and capabilities needed to navigate global markets, while the partnership with DSBH will provide its business community with practical training and logistics solutions.
Dubai South offers access to key transport links
Located within Dubai South, the Dubai South Business Hub Free Zone provides businesses with access to an integrated logistics and business ecosystem.
The free zone is connected to Al Maktoum International Airport, Jebel Ali Port, Etihad Rail and the UAE’s major road network, giving companies access to key regional and international trade routes.
The collaboration with DHL Express adds another layer of support for businesses operating within the free zone, combining company formation and business infrastructure with export training and international shipping services.
The partnership is expected to strengthen the support available to DSBH businesses as they move from establishing operations to expanding across regional and global markets.
