The Dubai Land Department (DLD) showcased Dubai’s integrated approach to real estate regulation, digital services and technology-driven market development during its participation in PropTech Connect Europe 2026 in London, highlighting opportunities for global technology companies to develop and scale solutions in the emirate.

The event was held on September 9 and 10 at the InterContinental London – The O2. DLD presented a connected ecosystem combining regulation, property registration, market data, digital services and artificial intelligence to support the real estate investment journey.

DLD highlights integrated digital real estate ecosystem

The department highlighted Dubai’s use of technology to strengthen both the operational and regulatory infrastructure of its property market.

Key areas included the automation of project registration, real estate transactions and escrow account management, alongside data integration and AI-enabled services.

DLD also used the event to highlight opportunities for international PropTech companies to test, develop and scale solutions within Dubai’s real estate ecosystem.

The participation supports the objectives of the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033 and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.

Dubai positions itself as a testing ground for PropTech

The DLD delegation included Majid Al Marri, CEO of the Corporate Support Sector; Mohammed Yahya, Director of the Real Estate Transactions Department; and Talal Al Suwaidi, Project Manager at Dubai Land Department.

The programme featured a dedicated DLD pavilion, panel discussions, bilateral meetings and a workshop examining opportunities for international PropTech companies to participate in Dubai’s real estate ecosystem.

DLD also held discussions with representatives from the City of London and signed memoranda of understanding as part of efforts to strengthen international cooperation.

The department’s pavilion brought together investors, technology companies, entrepreneurs and decision-makers, with discussions covering artificial intelligence, data integration, process automation and advanced analytics.

Market resilience remains a key focus

Majid Al Marri participated in a session titled ‘Rapid Transformations: How Economic and Geopolitical Dynamics Are Reshaping Real Estate Strategies’, where he outlined factors supporting the resilience of Dubai’s real estate market.

He pointed to the emirate’s long-term vision, clear regulation, reliable market data, seamless transactions, protection of property rights and integrated digital services as important elements supporting its investment environment.

Al Marri also highlighted public-private collaboration and Dubai’s ability to provide an environment where PropTech solutions can be tested and scaled.

A separate workshop explored how international technology companies can engage with Dubai’s real estate ecosystem through initiatives including the Dubai PropTech Hub and REACH Middle East.

The session also highlighted the First Time Home Buyer programme, which has attracted more than 45,000 registrants and enabled more than 3,200 residents to purchase their first homes in Dubai.

AI and digital services reshape real estate transactions

Mohammed Yahya participated in a session examining changing expectations among property buyers and investors.

Discussions focused on how the concept of real estate value is expanding beyond the physical property to include community quality, access to services, information transparency, digital connectivity and the efficiency of the home-buying process.

Yahya stressed the importance of stronger integration between developers, regulators, banks, brokers and technology companies to unlock greater value from data throughout the real estate lifecycle.

He also showcased DLD’s Initial Registration platform, which integrates project registration, real estate transactions and escrow account management into a digital journey supported by AI and automation.

The Dubai REST app and other digital services were also highlighted as tools designed to improve access to property information and government services.

PropTech Connect Middle East returns to Dubai

The London participation comes ahead of the second edition of PropTech Connect Middle East, which Dubai will host on February 3 and 4, 2027.

The inaugural edition, held in Dubai in February 2026 in partnership with DLD, attracted more than 3,000 participants and over 300 speakers. The 2027 edition is expected to bring together PropTech companies, developers, investors and regulators to exchange expertise and explore new collaboration opportunities.

The event will continue Dubai’s push to strengthen its position as a regional hub for real estate technology, with DLD using international platforms to connect global innovation with the emirate’s property market.
