The Dubai Government Workshop (DGW) joined in cooperation with Beit Al Khair Society the ‘Iftar Saem’ campaign as a part of the celebration of Zayed Humanitarian Day in order to promote humanitarian works during the holy month of Ramadan.
Zayed Humanitarian Day that portrays brotherhood, goodness and solidarity falls on the 19th of Ramadan every year and is held to commemorate the country’s founding father who served as a role model worldwide, the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
H.E. Fahad Ahmed Al Raeesi, Deputy Executive Director, DGW, said: “Participating in the ‘Iftar Saem’ campaign as part of our Zayed Humanitarian Day commemoration is also our way of remembering the achievements and contributions of our founding founder, who espoused the importance of helping people from all parts of the earth. The initiative also reflects our commitment to move forward in our efforts to adopt the approach of Zayed Al-Khair, who said, ‘We believe that the wealth that God has bestowed on us must be shared with our friends and brothers.’”
“We are pleased to cooperate with Beit Al Khair Society in our bid to fulfill our social and humanitarian responsibilities and emphasize the value of charitable works, which act as a key component of the UAE’s identity. Under the guidance of our wise leaders, the county has succeeded in its efforts to take a leading role in global humanitarian activities. The campaign is especially important as it coincides with the holy month of Ramadan, which is a time to inspire us to embrace giving, social solidarity, and other cherished values. We will further strengthen our partnership with Beit Al Khair and other social and charitable institutions in support of social voluntary and humanitarian initiatives that serve the entire UAE community,” he concluded.
