Dubai Future Accelerators Opens Registration for Fall 2020 Program, Invites Applications from International Startups to Address Challenges in a Post COVID-19 World

Dubai Future Accelerators (DFA), an ambition of Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), has inaugurated listing for The Fall 2020 Program. Now in its eighth edition, the Program strives to bring startups from all over the world to engage in an expedition program that will take place both online and physically in Dubai, UAE.

The release of the forthcoming edition reflects the completion of more initial companies that saw 14 state entities and299 startups operating in synergy to find solutions to more than115challenges. Moreover,more than 125of the participating startups went on to approve agreements with their associate entities to test their resolutions through pilot projects or to execute them within their organizations.

DFAs program gives startups the chance to co-create innovative solutions to future difficulties in collaboration with the Dubai government. The Performance will have startups work on employing technologies to catch difficulties facing the future of Dubai in key sectors, including transport, energy, health, and digital technologies. The 2020 edition is a 10-week program that is structured into two phases.

A four-week virtual program; which closes with a pragmatic pitching session, wherever each company will offer its customized plan to a panel. Following an evaluation period, shortlisted startups will develop into the next phase and join a six-week in-residence program in Dubai. In this phase, shareholders will test and run a proof of concept (PoC) and pilots of their recommended solutions. The chosen startups to join DFAs in-residence program will hold a plethora of possibilities to partner with management entities and industry leaders throughout the duration of the program.

They will have access to a range of workshops, office hours with teachers, social and cultural activities, foundation support, and be part of an ecosystem that empowers them to estimate their answers to a possible market of two billion people. DFA is a no-equity accelerator business and the participating startups are given a complimentary roundtrip airfare to Dubai as well as accommodation for the term of their partnership in the program.
