Dubai Digital explores future technologies in China
A high-level delegation from the Dubai Digital Authority (DDA), led by His Excellency Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of the Authority, has visited Shenzhen, China, to explore the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, data analysis, and digital technologies. The visit emphasized strengthening Dubai’s position as a hub for innovation and fostering international cooperation in digital transformation.
The delegation included representatives from the Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC), headed by CEO His Excellency Yousef Al Shaibani, along with the CEOs of Emaratech and UXE. The initiative is part of Dubai’s ongoing public-private partnership efforts to integrate advanced digital practices across sectors.
In collaboration with Dubai Chambers, the delegation engaged in a series of discussions with Chinese government officials, technology leaders, and research institutions. Talks focused on cooperation in developing smart cities, advancing data governance, attracting global expertise, and driving innovation in artificial intelligence and future-focused technologies.
The program also featured visits to leading Chinese enterprises in fields such as the Internet of Things, healthcare AI, robotics, customer interaction technologies, and computer vision. Meetings with major international companies, including Tencent and OneConnect, highlighted opportunities for collaboration in data-driven solutions and digital innovation.
His Excellency Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori emphasized that Dubai’s digital journey is rooted in cultural openness and global engagement, with a focus on exchanging expertise to unlock new opportunities. He stressed the importance of enhancing international cooperation in the face of rapid technological progress, noting that China offers a valuable model in leveraging AI, data, and smart city solutions to support sustainable development and improve quality of life.
Shenzhen, widely recognized as “China’s Silicon Valley,” continues to serve as a global hub for digital innovation. The outcomes of this visit are expected to further strengthen Dubai’s digital transformation initiatives, enhance its business competitiveness, and drive sustainable economic growth.
