Dubai Customs and Saudi diplomats discuss more trade opportunities

Dubai Customs has received a delegation from the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Dubai and Northern Emirates, in a move to deepen the economic and commercial ties between the UAE and KSA.

The Saudi delegation was headed by Dr. Nayef Al Rashid, Deputy Consul General of Saudi Arabia in Dubai and northern Emirates, who was received by Faisal Lutfi, Acting Director of External Relations Department, Yousuf Ozair, IPR Director, and Younis Othman, IT Director.

DC officials briefed the Saudi diplomats on major projects made by DC to facilitate a seamless flow of legitimate trade, such as IPR protection measures, Mirssal2. Clients Ambassadors initiative, Clients Accreditation, and Irtibaat, among others.

The Saudi delegation toured DCs head office and operational units including Technical Support, Customs Declaration Department and Command and Control Room. They also were introduced to the customs operations at Dubai Airport Terminal 3, and concluded their field visits at Jebel Ali Customs Center.
