Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi commends Emirati women as pillars of national progress on Emirati Women’s Day

His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports, Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Space Agency, highlighted the vital role Emirati women have played in the nation’s growth as the country celebrated Emirati Women’s Day 2025.

Dr. Al Falasi affirmed that over the past five decades, Emirati women have become a cornerstone of the UAE’s progress and prosperity. He noted that they have consistently embodied the values of the nation’s Founding Fathers, taking on responsibilities with confidence and achieving excellence across sectors including education, science, space, and governance.

He praised the pivotal role of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Mother of the Nation, whose unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment has created opportunities for women to lead and succeed. Her leadership, he said, reflects a deep belief in women’s ability to achieve and contribute to the nation’s sustainable development.

“Emirati women have contributed to building a cohesive society and raising generations, while also excelling in shaping our nation’s present and future under the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE,” Dr. Al Falasi stated.

This year’s theme, “Together We Celebrate 50 Years,” was described by Dr. Al Falasi as a reminder of the pioneering accomplishments of Emirati women and the vital role they continue to play across all fields. He emphasized that Emirati Women’s Day is both a celebration and a reaffirmation of the nation’s commitment to gender equality, reinforcing the UAE’s position as a global model for women’s empowerment.
