DEWA honours 15 recipients of the International Expert ITIL Certificate

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) honoured 15 employees from its IT division for getting the International Expert ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Certificate. They were granted the certificates for using the very best international practices in IT service management. This supports DEWA's continuous efforts to enhance the skills of staff members.

"This recognition reflects DEWA's commitment to constantly motivate its employees to continually learn, according to the instructions of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to improve the UAE's position as model of excellence. This also supports DEWA's vision of becoming a sustainable innovative world-class utility," stated Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.

"DEWA embraces a clear integrated strategy to constantly develop work techniques, and offers a workplace that supports and motivates its employees by enabling them access to the current global training programmes, enhancing their efficiency, positively affecting different departments and departments, and the quality of services. Moza Al Akraf, CIO of DEWA, and Abed Ismail, CEO of ITIL, presented the certificates to the workers, with DEWA senior supervisors and managers present.

DEWA got the ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 certificate in 2015. the certification is based on the 3rd edition of the ITIL, which is the highest certificate in the world for IT service management.
