Ajman Bans Use of Electric Scooters on Roads and Public Streets
Ajman Police has announced a complete ban on the use of all types of electric scooters on public streets, citing road safety concerns and the need to protect all road users.
The decision follows a safety advisory issued last month, in which Ajman Police urged riders of e-scooters and other two-wheelers to comply with road regulations and avoid using unauthorised electric bicycles and scooters.
Authorities across the UAE have been actively reinforcing safety guidelines for two-wheeler users, with repeated calls to avoid violations and follow approved routes.
The move comes amid growing safety concerns nationwide. Recently, Abu Dhabi Police released a video highlighting the dangers of reckless e-scooter driving, sparking public discussion on the need for stricter enforcement and tougher regulations to prevent accidents.
The ban in Ajman is part of broader efforts to ensure safer streets, reduce road hazards, and encourage the use of compliant and authorised modes of transport.
