RAK Launches UAE’s First Digital Creator Licence with Visa and Bank Account
Ras Al Khaimah Digital Assets Oasis (RAK DAO) has unveiled the UAE’s first Digital Creator Licence, offering influencers, streamers, and educators a full business setup — including a licence, residency visa, and bank account — through a partnership with Web3-based platform Lyvely.
The initiative addresses one of the biggest challenges faced by creators: credibility with banks, brands, and investors. Licence holders benefit from zero corporate and personal income tax, 100% foreign ownership, and access to RAK DAO’s partnerships, networking opportunities, and support services.
“This is about turning what many see as a side hustle into a recognised, sophisticated business,” said Paul Dawalibi, CEO of RAK DAO. “We wanted to give them a legal wrapper so they can be taken seriously.”
RAK DAO, a UAE free zone specialising in blockchain, Web3, NFTs, and DAOs, designed the licence to address common creator pain points such as banking access and brand partnerships, while enabling income diversification, IP control, and new revenue streams.
The application process is streamlined — creators sign up via Lyvely, complete the setup with RAK DAO, and can often be licensed and banked within days. Applicants worldwide enjoy the same tax and ownership benefits as UAE-based businesses.
Ras Al Khaimah’s lower cost of living — nearly half that of Dubai — makes it a practical hub for entire teams to relocate, offering affordability alongside tax advantages.
