Ahmed Al Sayegh appointed UAE minister of health
On September 1, 2025, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, announced the appointment of Ahmed Al Sayegh as the new Minister of Health, with approval from President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
He will take over from Abdulrahman Al Owais, who spearheaded multiple reforms to strengthen the federal health system and will now serve as Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs. Sheikh Mohammed expressed his gratitude to both leaders and extended best wishes to the UAE’s national teams in their ongoing service to the country .
