Abu Dhabi Offers Free City Check-in Service for IndiGo Passengers on August 11

Passengers flying with IndiGo from Zayed International Airport can now take advantage of the City Check-in service — and on Monday, August 11, the service will be free of charge to mark its launch for the airline.

The initiative, announced by Morafiq Aviation Services on Saturday, allows IndiGo passengers to check in and drop their bags between 24 and 4 hours before flight departure, offering flexibility and reducing airport congestion.

IndiGo, India’s largest airline by market share, joins the growing list of carriers served by Morafiq, which already includes Etihad Airways, Air Arabia, EgyptAir, and Wizz Air.

A Smoother Travel Experience

The City Check-in service is operated by Morafiq, a wholly owned subsidiary of Off Airport Check In Solutions (OACIS). Passengers using the service can obtain boarding passes at their convenience, allowing them to arrive at the airport with hand luggage only and bypass long queues.

Titten Yohannan, Chairman of Morafiq Aviation Services LLC and OACIS Middle East, said:

“We are delighted to welcome IndiGo to our growing portfolio of partner carriers. In our continuous endeavour to make air travel more seamless and convenient, this partnership reflects our shared commitment to innovation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.”

With this service, Abu Dhabi strengthens its position as a hub for passenger-friendly innovations, ensuring smoother travel experiences for both residents and visitors.
