10% Increase in Building Permits Issued During Q1 2020 to reach 2563 reported by Department of Municipalities and Transport

The Department of Municipalities and Transport declared that the number of constructing permits issued by its subsidiaries in the first quarter of this year elevated by 10% in contrast to the same duration previous year to reach 2563 permits for constructions in a number of essential sectors.

According to the Building Permits Performance Report issued by Department of Municipalities and Transport, the number of constructing permits issued by the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City reached 1641 permits for a number of sectors and institutions, governmental, residential, commercial, governmental services, religious, social, cultural or other services.

Abu Dhabi Municipality permits were divided as 978 permits for new constructions on vacant lands that had not been formerly built, 302 permits for exterior and internal changes to buildings without any additions, 239 permits for separate buildings on lands that have existing buildings, and 122 approves for horizontal and vertical expansion on a group of existing buildings.

Al Ain Municipality permits reached 698, divided as 440 permits for new constructions on lands that had no longer been formerly built, 180 permits for new and separate buildings on lands with present buildings, 42 for horizontal and vertical expansions on a crew of present buildings, and 36 permits for exterior and internal changes to buildings besides additions.

During the first quarter, Al Dhafra Region Municipality issued 224 permits for constructions of a range of uses, divided as 154 permits for new and separate constructions on lands that have existing buildings, and 62 permits for new constructions on lands that have been no longer formerly built, along with 4 permits for exterior and internal changes to constructions besides any additions, and four other permits for vertical and horizontal expansions on a team of present constructions in the region.

Department of Municipalities and Transport report showed that the whole number of consultancy offices working in this field reached 663 labeled offices, while the range of contractors for building in a range of essential sectors and housing reached 3,244 contractors.
