The Emirates Best All Rounder (EBAR) off-road competition is set to return to Hatta on 7 February, bringing together cyclists and endurance athletes for a multi-discipline mountain biking challenge across rugged terrain and technical courses. The event is designed to test skill, endurance, strength, and bike handling ability through four distinct race stages, with one overall champion crowned based on combined performance. Hosted amid Hatta’s mountainous landscape and trail network, the competition blends sport and adventure in a single-day format. Four-stage endurance and skills test Participants will compete across four varied stages designed to challenge different aspects of off-road riding: 12km Cross Country loop: A mostly flat circuit with mild gradients, focused on pacing, control, and mountain bike handling. 8km Downhill race: Starting high on Hatta’s red and blue trails and descending toward Wadi Hub, testing speed and technical descending skills. 5km Uphill Climb: Beginning at Wadi Hub, this stage features a near-continuous ascent across green and red trails, targeting climbing strength and stamina. 1km Technical stage: A short but demanding course with wooden obstacles, balance beams, rollers, and MTB hoppers, designed to measure precision and control. Organisers say the format aims to identify the most complete rider across disciplines rather than single-stage specialists. Registration is open for riders seeking a competitive off-road test in one of the UAE’s leading adventure sport destinations.
