Dubai’s Oasis Bay Waterpark Set to Open Soon, to Feature the Region’s Largest Pool

Dubai is set to welcome a major new attraction as Oasis Bay Waterpark, featuring the largest pool in the region, prepares to open soon at Dubai Parks and Resorts (DPR). The official opening date will be announced shortly, according to Dubai Holding Entertainment (DHE).

Described as a “one-of-a-kind waterpark,” the new destination promises to elevate Dubai’s position as a global hub for leisure and family entertainment.

“It will be a one-of-a-kind waterpark,” said Rami Mashini, Vice President of Sales at Dubai Holding Entertainment, speaking on the sidelines of the World Travel Market (WTM) in London. “Hopefully, soon we will announce the opening date.”

Transforming Riverland into a premier family entertainment hub

Mashini revealed that DHE is also focusing on transforming Riverland, located within DPR, into one of the most advanced family entertainment centres in the region. New additions include archery, axe-throwing, go-karting, and immersive attractions such as Perplex City and the Hidden Chambers escape room, alongside new dining options and nightly laser shows.

Riverland will also feature bazaars for small businesses, further enhancing the park’s community-driven experience.

“The aim for next year is that it should become a true family entertainment centre,” Mashini added.

Dubai Holding Entertainment’s growing portfolio

DHE, one of the region’s leading entertainment and hospitality organisations, operates 17 companies including Global Village, Ain Dubai, Coca-Cola Arena, and Roxy Cinemas.

While discussing expansion, Mashini confirmed that Global Village — which is celebrating its 30th season — will continue its current operational model, running seven months per year.

“To keep it at its best, we need at least two to three months during the year to enhance, build, and develop it,” he said.

Last season, Global Village attracted 10.5 million visitors, placing it among the top five global attractions by monthly attendance.

New trends: luxury experiences and glamping

Mashini also highlighted the rising demand for ultra-luxurious and experiential travel. DHE has responded by launching attractions such as the T-Rex Glamping Project at Dubai Parks and Resorts — featuring 65 family tents, BBQ options, and free park access — and a butler-guided experience at the Burj Al Arab, which includes the option of a signature gold beverage.

Looking ahead, DHE is developing new experiences including a space camp and desert safari, further expanding Dubai’s diverse entertainment offerings.
