UAE Precor FC, Dubai's leading community youth football club, scored an interesting second-place win at the latest installment of the Dubai International Super Cup: the club's under-18 group acknowledged its very first and only defeat in the tournament to an expert South African football club during the final match. The group protected an outstanding fifteen goals, while acknowledging just two goals, throughout the competition's four-day run.

Discussing the club's second-place win, Tarek Khalifa, chairman and member of Precor FC's training team, said: "The Dubai International Super Cup draws in the participation of talented players from around the globe-- positioning 2nd in this international, prominent competition marks a big win for the under-18 group and for the club as a whole."

In fact, Precor FC's under-18 team was the only group to clock no losses in the lead up to the final online game, beating out Adastra, Emirates Isles, Etihad Sports Academy, Muscat Academy and Nigeria Buruj Academy, to play a competitive last versus Pillars FC from South Africa. By the way, the under-18 group's goalkeeper was badly injured throughout the second-to-last match of the tournament, but remained to play, helping the group protect its place in the final.

"We had an ambulance waiting in the wings for him through the majority of the online game, and needed to administer oxygen on three different occasions. He was intent on finishing the online game, and in spite of playing with an injury for upwards of eighty-five minutes, he helped the group make it to the last. We couldn't have actually made it without this act of strength and devotion," commented Khalifa.

Precor FC is now getting ready for the upcoming GOTHIA cup, a Sweden-based global youth football tournament which each year draws over 1600 groups from over 80 nations. Kick-started as a community athletic initiative, today Precor FC comprises multiple youth groups that compete in competitions and leagues within the UAE and worldwide.
