Emirates Islamic wins Excellence in Practice Citation Award from Association for Talent Development

Emirates Islamic, among the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, was honoured with the prestigious Excellence in Practice Citation Award by the Association for Talent Development (ATD). The bank won in the Organisational Learning & Development and Learning Technologies categories for its 'CX Learning Initiative' that focuses on inculcating the customer-centric philosophy of the bank in all employee.

The award ceremony was held on May 23 in the Association for Talent Development's International Conference & Exposition in Denver, Colorado. Emirates Islamic's Learning and Development division was acknowledged for its exceptional CX Learning Initiative that supplies its personnel an educative and interactive training chance structured around the core consumer focused values of the bank and trains staff members to strengthen and develop their intrapersonal and service skills.

Commenting on the win, Hessa Al Mulla, Head of Human Resources at Emirates Islamic, said: Emirates Islamics Learning and Development team ensures that our valuable staff continue to reach their full potential. We are very proud of our CX Learning Initiative that truly instils our customer-centric values into our employees and enables them to offer a customer experience that is second to none. The skills that they learn in this programme and in all our other various training opportunities, such as the Own-Up Learning Initiative or the License to Operate Programme, are skills that they will take forward throughout in life as well as benefit the bank in retaining one of the most talented teams in the UAE.

The Own-Up Learning Initiative is a unique and innovative learning experience for staff that helps them recognise how to better their own customer experience capabilities while the License to Operate Programme is a comprehensive and meticulous training and development for new joiners. Emirates Islamic also runs four full-fledged training programmes for UAE nationals including Al Mustaqbal, The UniGrad Programme, Assistant Branch Manager Certification and Future Branch Manager Programme that provides Emirati professionals with a strong and intensive foundation for their career development.

ATDs Excellence in Practice programme received 151 submissions in the fall of 2015 from institutions around the world. Twenty-four organisations received awards and twenty-seven citations were presented to organisations with promising practices that have shown they will demonstrate measurable results in the following categories: career development, coaching and mentoring, diversity and inclusion, facilitating organisational change, integrated talent management, learning technologies, managing the learning function, organisational learning and development, performance improvement and sales enablement.
