Uber is 75% off for a week

Leading to the big race weekend in the capital, Abu Dhabi residents and visitors are in for a treat as Uber marks down fares by 75% for both UberBLACK and uberX on trips throughout the capital from November 13 until November 20. Uber, the international smartphone app that seamlessly connects passengers with a private driver, also encourages riders to join the GiveGet program. Riders get 1, 2 or even up to 3 trips for free, within the week, for every new Uber rider he or she refers.

The discounted fare until November 20 can be availed for both uberX and UberBLACK when riders enter promo code PrixCountdown. For example, the fare to Yas Island from Corniche is only AED30 instead of the usual AED120 for UberBLACK.

uberX is the newest product offering from Uber to arrive in Abu Dhabi, joining the existing UberBLACK service. With both services in place, Abu Dhabi riders find it even easier to commute across the city in times of heavier traffic and limited parking options.

JP Mondalek, Ubers general manager for the UAE said:

Ubers services in Abu Dhabi have been well-received and so we thought of giving back to the community by offering them minimum fare rides anywhere they go in the capital. We hope that more and more Abu Dhabi residents will use Uber to also help traffic congestion in the city.

Uber will also be present and easily available throughout Yas Island during the race weekend.

Ubers products connect riders with licensed drivers by partnering with the existing supply of transportation providers in Abu Dhabi. Any person who needs a ride has to download the free Uber app onto their smartphone (iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, Blackberry) or sign up at uber.com/app to request a private-hire car at an affordable price, all in a matter of minutes. Just choose between uberX or UberBLACK within the app and order a ride. All payments are done via the riders credit cards, making the experience even more seamless.

In addition to providing more choice for consumers, Uber also aims to help transportation providers grow their business by making drivers time more efficient.

Uber is already present in over 200 cities in 45 countries.
