The UAE and Belize have signed the Bilateral Economic Cooperation Agreement

The UAE and Belize recently signed an economic cooperation agreement to enhance and expand their cooperation in the fields of mutual benefit. This agreement was inked by H.E. Eng. UAE Economic Minister Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori and H.E. Hon. Erwin Contreras, Belize's Economic Development, Petroleum, Investment, Trade and Commerce.

The agreement covers a number of key sectors in goods and services, including trade, investment, transport, agriculture and food products, energy and renewable energy, industry and mining, infrastructure, construction and real estate and tourism. The agreement provides for the establishment of a joint economic group between the two countries and their partnership to new heights.

H.E. Eng. Al Mansoori said the deal would lead to more effective and sustainable partnerships between the UAE and Belize. As a result of this recent development, the respective public and private sectors can now collaborate to increase opportunities and meet challenges. The agreement will enable the UAE to explore Belize's immense business and investment opportunities.

In addition, the two parties agreed to exchange expertise and information, formulate new rules and regulations, identify barriers, explore business opportunities, create an investment-friendly environment, and provide logistics.
