Dubai is all set to turn into a sea of pink this Friday as thousands of men, women and children gather at the Zabeel Park to put their best foot forward in support of breast cancer awareness at the 11th BurJuman Pink Walkathon, the countrys longest running and most widely attended charitable walk for breast cancer outreach and fundraising.

The signature event of BurJumans Safe & Sound breast cancer awareness campaign, the Pink Walkathon provides a chance for the community to come together and show their support for the fight against breast cancer by joining hands and marching together to spread the message that Early Detection Saves Lives.

Kicking off at 8am from the parks Area A, Gate 2, with on-site registrations beginning at 7am, the annual walk promises participants a fun-filled morning packed with entertainment and activities as the winding tracks and lush landscaped grounds of the popular recreational destination get swept up in a tide of pink caps and T-shirts and unbridled enthusiasm. Participants can also make the event a more personal and special one by bringing banners to dedicate their walk to a loved one.

Getting the participants warmed up and energized for the walk will be the No. 1 English language station in Dubai, Virgin Radio 104.4, part of the Arabian Radio Network, led by fan-favorite Kris Fade and his team who will be entertaining the crowd and playing todays hottest music tracks before pink confetti gets released into the air to mark the start of the 2-km non-competitive walk. This years campaign ambassadors and members of the Brest Friends support group will be leading the walk around the park, accompanied by a parade of entertainers and roaming performers.

There will be activities galore for children such as free arts and crafts and painting, along with a dedicated gaming area.
