Team Abu Dhabi Star Al Mulla is Back in China

Team Abu Dhabi's Rashid Al-Mullah today underscored his status as the world's best aqua bikes freestyle rider with another dominant display in the Grand Prix of Qingdao in China today.

The reigning world champion is in the final round of the 2019 UIM-ABP Aqua bike World Championship by demanding pole position for the first two motos races this weekend.

Al Mulla surpassed his rivals in all categories, scoring 81 out of 63 points from his closest challenger Italian Roberto Mariani in the freestyle title race.

Emirati is now looking to extend its winning line to the ninth Grand Prix Division on the first of two motos this Saturday afternoon.

Team Abu Dhabis Rashed Al Tayer, meanwhile, is looking to recapture the form that took him to an opening-round Grand Prix win in Portugal in May at the Runabout GB1 pole race tomorrow afternoon.

Two points behind Denmark's championship leader Marcus Jorgensen, Al Tayer can only manage the ninth pace in today's free training session, but aims to get a point this weekend, giving him a strong title chance in the final round in Sharjah in December. Team Abu Dhabi's Salman Al Awadi was 15th in the Ski GB 1 pole position qualifier.
