Tawam Hospitals 3rd Comprehensive International Pain Management Conference Opens in Al Ain

Tawam Hospital, in affiliation with Johns Hopkins Medicine and part of the SEHA healthcare system, today hosted the first day of the third annual Comprehensive International Pain Management Conference, being held from 8-10 May, 2014 at Danat Al Ain Resort. The conference follows on from the success of previous events and is part of Tawams commitment to furthering local and regional standards in the field of pain management.

Promising to be bigger and better this year, for the 2014 event there are 16 top calibre pain management specialists from the USA, Europe and Middle East speaking during the conference. Thought leaders in various specialties within pain management will discuss the latest treatments and advances and help improve pain management treatment in the UAE and the wider region across areas including anaesthesiology, physiotherapy, psychotherapy, and interventional pain management.

Separately, 11 consultants will lead 2 different workshops on 10 May, including a hands-on live ultrasound guided Regional Anaesthesia (RA) and Interventional Pain Management sessions.

Attending the conference are around 1000 academics, pain management specialists, allied health professionals and medical students from the region.
