Tawam Hospital Announces Timings during UAE National Day Holidays

Tawam Hospital, in affiliation with Johns Hopkins Medicine and part of the SEHA healthcare system, today issued a reminder about special timings for patient visits and rules during the UAE National Day holidays, December 2-4. 2014.

During the national holiday, Tawam Hospitals and Al Wagan Hospitals emergency services will continue to operate 24 hours a day. The urgent care clinic of Tawam Hospital will be working from 4:00pm to 12:00 midnight while the Polyclinic and hospital-based clinics are closed. Al Wagan Family Medicine Clinic remains open every day from 8:00am to 12:00 midnight while the Pediatrics and Internal Medicine are on call services only. Al Wagans dental clinic will be closed.

Family and friends can visit patients at Tawam Hospital between 9:00am and 11:00pm. A parent or an adult must accompany children aged between 2 and 12 years of age at all times. Visits to ICU, PICU and HDU will be between the hours of 11:00am to 7:00pm and 8:00pm to 11:00pm. Visitors showing signs of illness will be restricted from entering these wards to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients, and entry will be restricted to only one visitor on approval from a doctor.

In order to sustain the UAE, we must have a healthy community so that the younger generation can carry on leading the UAE to greater heights, said Gregory F. Schaffer, CEO at Tawam Hospital.

Tawam Hospital is part of the SEHA Health System owned and operated by Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) which is responsible for the curative activities of all the public hospitals and clinics of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
