Dubai, UAE; April 19, 2014: Tasjeel, the UAEs one-stop-shop for all vehicle testing and registration needs, participated in the Sharjah Traffic Week celebrations, organised by Sharjah Police, to promote safe driving and motor vehicle safety. Tasjeel focused on enhancing awareness of traffic rules among young adults, and supported various sports activities that were held in Sharjah.

Hussam Al Shawi, General Manager of Tasjeel, said: Sharjah Traffic Week was an important initiative by Sharjah Police to strengthen safe driving and enhance awareness on traffic rules. One of the key aspects of safety is timely testing of motor vehicles, which is undertaken at our Sharjah site. Through our participation in Sharjah Traffic Week, we also focused on strengthening awareness among children and youth on traffic guidelines and the need to follow them.

Sharjah Traffic Week was launched by Abdullah Mubarak Al Dukhan, Deputy General Commander of Sharjah Police, at Sharjah University. At the opening event, Tasjeel highlighted the testing services offered by its Sharjah centre for ensuring that motor vehicles adhere to all safety and operational parameters. Tasjeel distributed gifts to the participants including children and adults.

Tasjeel also supported activities including sports events held at Mega Mall, Discovery Centre and Al Theqa Club. At these events, the participants were also asked questions relating to safe driving and motor vehicle safety. Tasjeel distributed giveaways to the participants.

A business unit of ENOC Retail, Tasjeel undertakes all mandatory tests that are required for vehicle registration. It has nine branches in Dubai, Sharjah, Khorfakhan, and Hatta, and all are equipped with the latest testing and inspection machinery. The sites are manned by professionally qualified staff members, who provide technical advice to motorists.
