Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE:HOT) announced a partnership with Al Jazeera Media Network, to feature Al Jazeera news channels in all its properties in Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EAME). As of June 1 2014, both Al Jazeera English and Al Jazeera Arabic will be available in more than 240 Starwood hotels and resorts in the region.

Al Jazeera Media Network is headquartered in Doha, Qatar. Initially launched as an Arabic news and current affairs satellite TV channel in 1996, Al Jazeera’s popularity meant it quickly expanded into a network with several outlets, including internet and specialty TV channels in multiple languages.
