The theme of the 2019 edition of the festival is Culture and Family.

In order to recreate wondrous elements from Arabic literature such as fishing nets, azulejos mosaics, and Arabian carpets, the show Aquatic Visions by Albane Chaumet at the Municipality and Municipal Council in Al Hamriyah draws inspiration from childhood stories, the aquatic world and the harbour location to present a contemplative, dream universe.

Meanwhile, the show titled the Matter of Mythology by Vincent Masson at the Municipal Council and Directorate of Human Resources (Kalba) offers spectators a glimpse of the very origins of culture and its inscriptions in the form of literature. The practical use of paper and ink are shown as open gates leading to stories and spirituality.

Furthermore, the show titled Heritage as a Journey by Studio Halpeji at Municipal Council and Town Planning Department (Khorfakkan) attempts to retrace the evolution of the written script from its simplest shape starting on the first faade and journeying through to the second building taking the audience on an educational journey through the traditional book cover marble technique called Suminagashi.

Overlooking the bustling fishing harbour, the Sheikh Rashid Bin Ahmad Al Qasimi Mosques faade in Dibba Al Hisn has become the canvas for Tales in Mosaic by Francois Decourbe, which features voices and stories being told to families and new generations in the form of a kaleidoscope of tales and elders wisdom.

Daily performances are held from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm on weekdays and from 6:00 pm to 12:00 midnight on weekends.
