Dubai Government Workshop (DGW) organized a session with an goal to help the countrys preparations for next 50 years and in connection with this years UAE Innovation Month. The session, held in the presence of the leadership team headed by H.E Fahad Ahmed Al-Raeesi, CEO of DGW, motivated the Workshops employees to come up with innovative thoughts in the fields of innovation, technological know-how and sustainability, thereby bettering the organizations preparedness for the future; and to explore creative solutions that can assist DGW deliver world-class customer services.

The initiative reflects DGWs dedication to enforce the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to celebrate innovation and motivate innovators under the theme UAE Innovates Towards the Next 50.The session featured in-depth discussions on how to combine innovation in the upgradation of fleet management and maintenance services in accordance to the perfect global standards and engineering excellent practices, and in line with the Dubai governments vision.

H.E Fahad Ahmed Al-Raeesi, CEO of DGW, stated: As the preparations for the next 50 years gain momentum, the UAE Innovation Month is a widespread national event to promote innovation and encourage innovators to improve proactive solutions and come up with futuristic ideas that can drive improvement and growth. At DGW, we are firmly committed to supporting the countrys efforts to undertake innovation as a well-established approach in our operations, while also focusing on creating a work surroundings that encourages innovation, leadership and productivity. We try to improve the quality of our services in order to enhance customer happiness and community welfare. Against this backdrop, the session was profitable in producing some ground-breaking thoughts reflecting the unique skills of our highly talented employees, who remain keen to harness advanced technologies to provide safe vehicles and leading services.

During the session, DGW introduced several improvements which includes the clutch overhaul/puller tool, an invention that saves time and money by superseding the previous techniques where the whole part had to be replaced. Another invention that enables rebuilding of the cars front suspension part using soft-drink cans and repairing the defected part instead of replacing it, was also presented.

Other innovations presented during the session enables the extraction of injectors from car engines without causing any damage; and the replacement of the vehicles bearing using creative tools without dismantling the whole axis, thereby saving the time spent to repair the vehicle. Yet another solution tackled the replacement of specific gears inside the transmission tools as a substitute of replacing the latter as a whole, saving both time and money.

The session additionally introduced an advanced gear that allows the injection of transmission fluids using compressed air, rather than sending the car to a dealer; and another one that alters the automatic transmission connector in American-made cars to prolong the parts life and avoids sudden breakdowns in the center of the road. Also introduced was another mechanism to replace the damaged rubber part of the steel part, as an alternative of replacing the latter as a whole, saving costs.
