Salik Company PJSC, Dubai’s exclusive toll gate operator, has signed a partnership agreement with the Community Development Authority (CDA) to support community development programmes dedicated to People of Determination across the emirate.

The partnership coincides with the UAE Year of Community and supports the objectives of the Dubai Social Agenda 33. Under the agreement, Salik will provide funding for a range of CDA-led initiatives aimed at empowering People of Determination, promoting their social inclusion and addressing their essential needs. The Authority will allocate the contributions to expand programmes and maximise the number of beneficiaries.

Her Excellency Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority, said the initiative reflects the strong role of private sector entities in advancing sustainable community development. She noted that the partnership highlights how collaboration across sectors can strengthen social solidarity and support the long-term development of the social sector in Dubai.

Salik Chief Executive Officer Ibrahim Al Haddad said the company remains firmly committed to corporate social responsibility and humanitarian initiatives that enhance quality of life. He emphasised that People of Determination are an integral part of society and reaffirmed Salik’s intention to continue working with relevant authorities to support national efforts aimed at building a more inclusive community, in line with the UAE’s leadership vision and social values.

Sheikha Al Jarman, Executive Director of the Social Development Sector at the CDA, said the collaboration reinforces Dubai’s commitment to strategic partnerships that strengthen the social sector. She added that Salik’s contribution supports the development of a sustainable framework focused on empowerment, inclusion and improving quality of life, aligned with the goals of the Dubai Social Agenda 33.

Salik has consistently prioritised support for People of Determination, including being among the first entities to grant toll fee exemptions and additional facilitations to encourage their active participation in society.

The Community Development Authority delivers an integrated range of services for People of Determination and their families, covering financial assistance, access to assistive technologies, personal care and educational support. The Authority also provides vocational training programmes, therapeutic and rehabilitation services such as hydrotherapy and equine-assisted therapy, as well as specialised initiatives supporting mental wellbeing and families of children with autism. Together, these services aim to ensure meaningful inclusion and improved quality of life through a comprehensive and responsive support system.
