Shoppers at BurJuman and supporters of the breast cancer cause from around Dubai had a unique opportunity to meet and interact with the inspirational ambassadors of the BurJuman Safe & Sound campaign as part of a Meet-and-Greet session hosted at the malls Pink Lounge on the afternoon of Saturday, 25 October 2014.

The ambassadors of this years Safe & Sound, the regions largest breast cancer awareness campaign, shared with visitors their personal experiences and inspiring stories about living with breast cancer and beating the disease as they continued their month-long, city-wide effort to raise awareness about what has become the most common malignancy in females in the UAE.

In the Pink Lounge, the ambassadors led the way in taking the Pink Challenge a unique initiative by BurJuman that invites people to give the soles of their shoes a hot pink makeover to step up breast cancer awareness this month. Visitors to BurJuman can join in the challenge for a donation of AED 10 to the Safe & Sound campaign to receive pink sole vinyls for the transformation, a Pink Challenge instruction card and a pink ribbon. Participants post their pink soles online with #PinkBurJuman and nominate two other people to take part.

The venue also offered visitors a chance to register for the BurJuman Pink Walkathon, which takes place on Friday, October 31 at the Zabeel Park (Area A, Gate 2).
