Ras Al Khaimah Kicks off Awafi Heritage Festival

Awafi Heritage Festival which celebrates the northern emirates ethnic and cultural heritage kicked off this Saturday, December 15, 2018, offering visitors a truly authentic experience for all the family. The opening ceremony was attended by Haitham Mattar, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority and other VIPs who toured the cultural village and witnessed live musical performances performed by Ras Al Khaimah Police Music Band and Dibba military band.

The three-months long annual festival, which is held at Al Qawasim Corniche, will run from 15th December 2018 till 15th March 2019, welcoming guests 6 days a week, Monday till Saturday from 4PM 10PM and Thursday and Friday from 4PM 12 midnight.

Awafi Heritage Festival features a traditional market place that includes arts and crafts, cultural displays, childrens activities and live entertainment giving visitors to immerse themselves in Ras Al Khaimahs local culture and experience it first-hand.
